PRODUCTION DATABASE · MINE-TO-MILL RECONCILIATION

The auditable record of what your minesactually produce.

Pit Info is the production database and reconciliation system for mines. It holds one record across the systems you already run: fleet, mill, lab and block model, configured to your site by mining engineers, geologists and metallurgists, so head office can see, trust and defend production at every site.

THE STATUS QUO · EXCEL AND DISCONNECTED SYSTEMS

A production number that holds up when it's questioned.

Production lives in spreadsheets and a handful of systems that don't talk to each other, so the figure that reaches the board is assembled by hand each month-end. When someone asks how it was derived, the trail runs cold. The damage shows up later, as tonnes and grade that no one, on site or at head office, can fully account for.

WITHOUT PIT INFO → WITH PIT INFO
HEAD OFFICESITE 01W. AFRICASITE 02AMERICASSITE 03CISPIT INFOCLOUD
Head office visibility

The number that reaches the board is carried by corporate but built at site, in a workbook no one else can open. The detail that would explain it never travels with it.

Unaccounted output

Dilution, ore loss, over- and under-loading, floor control against the block model. On most sites these are known to be happening but never quantified, because the data to size them sits across systems that don't reconcile.

Defensibility

When a variance has to be explained, internally or to the market, manual numbers carry no per-entry trail. The site ends up defending figures it can't fully reconstruct, and corporate reports a number it can't fully stand behind.

WHAT PIT INFO IS

A production database first. A reconciliation system on top.

One system, switched on in two stages. Start with the database and single source of truth. Add standardised mine-to-mill reconciliation when the site is ready, on the same record, not a separate tool bolted on.

STAGE ONE

Foundation

The production database and single source of truth

  • Every system on site ingested into one auditable record
  • Per-entry audit trail, down to individual truck movements
  • Configurable site reporting and distribution
  • Replaces the master workbook everyone is afraid to break

A lower-commitment first step: get production onto one trustworthy record before changing how the month is closed.

STAGE TWO

Complete

Foundation plus mine-to-mill reconciliation

  • Standardised reconciliation across pit, mill and lab
  • Resource, reserve, mined, ROM, mill, poured, every stage
  • Declared vs reconciled, with variance flagged to site tolerance
  • Configurable signoff, and a portfolio roll-up for head office

The audit trail and standardised reconciliation that underpin defensible Competent-Person reporting. It is the data layer beneath your public reporting, not a compliance claim.

ACROSS YOUR EXISTING STACK

It sits on top of the systems you already run.

Pit Info does not replace your modelling, scheduling or historian systems. It reads from each of them and becomes the one reconciled record on top: the place where the production truth is assembled, audited and signed. Eight categories of input, one record out.

One reconciled record, across your stack.

Most alternatives leave your production truth split across a database, a BI tool, a reconciliation bolt-on and the workbooks gluing them together. Pit Info is the one record on top of all of it.

FAQ

What buyers ask before booking a working session.

What is Pit Info?
Pit Info is mine-to-mill reconciliation software for gold and polymetal producers, built by Minebright Inc., a mining engineering firm in Toronto, Canada. It combines the production database, the single source of truth and the reconciliation engine in one system, replacing the usual stack of Excel workbooks, a separate database, a BI licence and a reconciliation bolt-on. It produces a reconciliation waterfall built for public reporting (resource → reserve → mined → ROM → mill → poured) with a per-truck and per-block audit trail.
We run reconciliation in Excel today. Why switch?
Excel scales until it does not, and the month it does not is the month dilution ships unflagged. Pit Info is configured around the workflow your team already runs in Excel, then layers on per-truck audit trail, reporting-grade signoff, live fleet feeds and a record everyone signs off on. You keep Excel where it earns its keep (modelling, ad-hoc work) and reconcile in Pit Info.
How long does implementation take?
First reconciliation in 3 to 4 months, not a year-long rollout. Month 1 is a working session and reconciliation mapping. Months 1 to 3 we configure Pit Info on your data. Month 3 to 4 onward you are live, and we stay through the first month-end.
Will Pit Info work with our existing Excel workflow?
Yes. Pit Info reads your existing Excel sheets, exports back to them, and pushes summary data into Power BI. The point is not to delete Excel. The point is to give you reconciled production values everyone signs off on, and let Excel keep doing what it does.
What systems does Pit Info connect to?
Fleet dispatch systems, mill historians and SCADA, block-model and resource software, geological modelling and mine-planning suites, LIMS, and direct CSV / REST API. Live feeds at 5-second intervals where the source supports it; scheduled syncs daily, hourly, or per cycle everywhere else.
Where is Pit Info hosted? Cloud or on-site?
Both. Hybrid hosting is your choice. Run Pit Info in the cloud on AWS, in the region of your choice (currently Canada and Australia), or on-site on your own infrastructure for sites with limited connectivity or strict data-sovereignty rules, or a hybrid of the two. Per-tenant infrastructure either way. Your data does not move between regions, or off-site, without your signoff.
Who built Pit Info?
Minebright Inc., a mining engineering and technical services firm based in Toronto. We work with gold and polymetal producers across West Africa, the CIS and the Americas. Pit Info is the system we configure for our clients, built because the software we needed on our own jobs did not exist.
What does the engagement look like?
A working session, not a sales deck. We sit with your team, map your reconciliation workflow against the way you already close the month, and walk through where Pit Info fits. If we move forward, we configure Pit Info on your data and stay through your first month-end on the new system.
Can Pit Info digitize handwritten / paper logsheets?
Yes. Your shift supervisor photographs the handwritten logsheet and sends it to a WhatsApp bot. OCR reads it, validates the values against site rules, and writes them to the database as an audited entry, before the shift is off the pad. No new hardware, no re-keying, no numbers lost in a filing cabinet.
